The Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 now provides that anyone having control over commercial premises will have responsibilities for ensuring that thos occupying the premises are safe from harm caused by fire.  Anyone owning or controlling such premises will require to carry out a Fire Safety Risk Assessment.
